your information.

When you schedule a visit

The Plan your visit form sends what you type (your name, email, phone number if you give it, who's coming with you, your children's first names and age groups, and any notes) by email to the Gateway staff member who welcomes first-time guests, and sends you a confirmation.

The website does not save your form. Your information lives only in that staff member's church email account, and we use it only to welcome you and answer your questions. We don't add you to mailing lists, and we never sell or share your information. To have it deleted, email info@gatewayshreve.com.

To keep bots from misusing the form, the website counts how many forms are sent each hour. That count holds no names or addresses and is deleted when the hour is over.

When you contact a pastor

On the Who is Jesus? page you can let a pastor know you prayed to receive Christ, or ask a question. What you type (your name, email or phone, and any note) is sent by email to a Gateway pastor, and to you if you give an email address. The website does not save it, and we use it only to follow up with you personally. The page counts how many people start it, reach the prayer, or reach out, but never who. Nothing you tap along the way is saved.

The weekly email

When you sign up for the weekly email, we keep your first name, last name if you give it, email address, and the date you signed up, so we can send it to you. This list is kept on our own website’s server, not in a marketing company’s database, and we never sell or share it.

The emails are delivered by Resend, an email delivery service, which receives your name and email address only to deliver our emails and to honor your unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email info@gatewayshreve.com to be removed or to have your information deleted.

Counting visits to the website

To learn which pages help people, the site counts page views, the kind of device used (phone, tablet or computer), how people found us (for example Google or Facebook), and taps on key buttons like Give or Plan your visit.

It does not use cookies or tracking companies, and it never records your name, email or IP address. Your browser remembers a few dates (such as the last day you visited) so we can count visitors without identifying anyone. We keep daily counts for 35 days and weekly totals for two years.

Watching on Sunday morning

While you watch the livestream on our site, your browser checks in every 30 seconds with a random code it made for itself, so everyone can see how many are watching. That record holds only the random code, the times you were watching, the kind of device, and whether you've watched here before. It is deleted that Sunday afternoon, after we total the numbers.

Other services on our site

Videos play through YouTube and Vimeo, and online giving happens on Realm. When you use those, their own privacy policies apply. Directions open in Google Maps. Our web host keeps standard server logs for security.

Children

We ask for children's first names and age groups only so our kids team can be ready for them. Only a parent or guardian should fill out the form.
